Our Knoxville Hot Tub Servicing Process
The cleaning and servicing process of Silverline Pools is always fun to watch. During this process, our experts are efficient at:
Adding a Line Flush Cleaner
Adding a hot tub line flush purges the plumbing of gunk and buildup. We add the cleaner and run the jets on high for 20 minutes. As the cleaner circulates, gross-looking foam might appear on the water’s surface.
Draining Your Hot Tub
Next, we drain your hot tub after shutting it off at the circuit breaker to prevent jets or pumps from starting when there's no water. We use either a hose connected to the drain spout or a sump pump for effective draining.
Filter Cleaning or Replacing
While the spa drains, we clean the filter by soaking it in a diluted hot tub filter cleaner for 24 hours. After leaving it to soak for 24 hours, we rinse the cleaner thoroughly with clean water. After a thorough rinse, it is reinstalled. We can replace it for you if it is worn out.
Cleaning Hot Tub Shell
In this process, we clean the hot tub's surfaces with diluted vinegar or cleaner. Then, we use a soft towel to remove the residue and rinse all the surfaces. We then drain the rinse water and ensure all jets are open to avoid pressure issues and trapped air.
Cabinet Inspection
For the primary condition of the cabinet equipment, Silverline Pools inspects, cleans, repairs, and replaces the circulation pump, circuit board, heater, and jet pumps.
Refilling the Hot Tub
We place a hose into the filter compartment and turn on the water with the main breaker off to release trapped air and prevent airlocks. A hose filter helps reduce minerals like calcium and copper. Then, we carefully control the water level to prevent overfilling or backflow.
Cover and Cabinet Cleaning
After refilling the hot tub, we clean its cover with a cover cleaner or diluted vinegar to prevent bacteria buildup. For outdoor tubs, we apply a UV protectant, then clean the cabinet using a gentle wood cleaner and a soft cloth if it's made of wood.
Hot Tub Activation Process
After servicing, we turn your spa's main breaker on and make sure that the air valves are off for proper chemical distribution. Next, we run the hot tub for 20 minutes, add chlorine or bromine, balance the water chemistry, and heat it to at least 98°F (36.6°C).
