Adding a Line Flush Cleaner
Adding a hot tub line flush will purge your plumbing from any gunk and buildup. Before draining out the water, we add the line flush to your water, turn the jets on high, and circulate for at least 20 minutes.
There might be gross-looking foam on the surface of the water as the cleaner circulates through your spa plumbing. This means pulling out all body residues or hot tub biofilm inside your pipes.
Draining Your Hot Tub
Next, we drain your hot tub for a closer inspection and cleanup. Before starting draining, we shut off the hot tub at the circuit breaker to prevent jets or pumps from starting when there’s no water.
We drain your spa using two methods. We connect a hose to your hot tub’s drain spout or use a sump pump.

Filter Cleaning or Replacing
While the water is draining from your spa, it’s time to clean your filter. We use a five-gallon or 20-liter bucket and fill it partway with water. After that, our team adds a hot tub filter cleaner, stirs the water to dilute the cleaner, and submerges the filter.
After leaving it to soak for 24 hours, we rinse the cleaner thoroughly with clean water before placing it back in your hot tub. And if your filter is extremely dirty or worn out, we replace it for you.
Cleaning Hot Tub Shell
Once all the water is drained, it’s time to clean your hot tub’s surfaces. The team of Silverline Pools:
- Spray the hot tub shell with a cleaner or diluted vinegar.
- Use a soft towel to remove the residue.
- Thoroughly cleaning the entire surface of the hot tub shell.
- Rinsing all the surfaces.
- Draining out all of that rinse water to prevent foaming later.
- Double-check that all your jets are open to prevent water pressure problems and trapped air.

Cabinet Inspection
The hot tub cabinet contains the most important equipment regarding its functionality. Our technical team utilizes all their expertise to check and inspect your hot tub cabinet. For the primal condition of the cabinet equipment, Silverline Pools inspects, cleans, repairs, and replaces:
- Circulation pump
- Circuit board
- Heater
- Jet Pumps
Refilling the Hot Tub
Insert the hose into the filter compartment and turn on the spigot while keeping the main breaker off. This forces trapped air out of your plumbing system and helps prevent an airlock. Our crew uses a hose filter to reduce minerals like calcium and copper, especially if it is hard water or well water.
We also ensure that your pool doesn’t overfill as it can cause water to backflow into your heater after starting the hot tub.

Cover and Cabinet Cleaning
As your hot tub refills, we clean your hot tub cover to prevent bacteria from building up. Our team wipes down the inside and outside with a cover cleaner or diluted vinegar. If your hot tub is outside, we also suggest adding a protectant to the cover to help avoid sun damage.
After that, we clean your cabinet. If your cabinet is made from wood, use a gentle wood cleaner and a soft cloth.
Starting up Your Hot Tub
After servicing your hot tub, we turn your spa’s main breaker back on. The team of Silverline Pools makes sure that the air valves are turned off the air valves so they don’t disrupt chemical distribution.
Our crew turns on your hot tub and lets it run for 20 minutes. Next, we add chlorine or bromine one at a time. It adjusts the pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness of the water. After allowing the chemicals to circulate, we heat the water to at least 80 F or 27 C.

Winterize Your Hot Tub with Silverline Pools
To prevent your tub water and equipment from freezing in winter, Silverline Pools also winterizes your hot tub. If you don’t use your hot tub in the harsh weather of winter usually, winterizing will save it from damage. Here is how we do it:
Turning off both the power and the heater.
Draining your hot tub, including the jets and pipes.
Force pushing the water out of the jets through a blower.
Using an external blower such as a shop vac to blow the water out of the pipes.
